Empowering Teachers, Engaging Students: Transforming Civic Education through Metaverse Technologies
The Metacivicedu project is designed to significantly enhance civic education by equipping teachers with innovative tools and methodologies through the use of metaverse technologies. Our efforts focus on creating a sustainable and impactful educational experience that prepares students to be active and responsible citizens.
Project Outcomes
- Engaging Learning Scenarios: We have developed a collection of metaverse XR-enriched learning scenarios, available as Open Educational Resources (OERs). These are designed to make civic education more engaging and effective, tailored to the needs of primary school students.
- Teacher Training Programs: Online training seminars are regularly conducted to equip primary school teachers with the skills necessary to implement metaverse-enriched approaches to civic education.
- Research and Validation: Findings from the application of these innovative approaches in schools across different European countries provide us with valuable insights into their effectiveness and adaptability.
- Dissemination of Knowledge: Through multiplier events and conference presentations, we share our findings and methodologies at both national and European levels, promoting a broader understanding and adoption of these advanced educational practices.
